    1. Special Olympics – Saturday, May 5th, 2007

§         Update from Claire – Write-up posted to Website.

    1. June we had nothing.
    2. July PHIP report and Club cookout at Scott and Barbara’s. – Need to amend PHIP report on collection of 30 lbs of food for local shelter at last club meeting.

§         $45 per car

§         opens at 12:30

§         start lining up at 12:00

§         First come first serve

§         Corona rep is suppose to look for our tent and give us some stuff

    1. Alzheimer’s Memory Walk – Club’s 10th Anniversary, Sept 23rd , 2007

Chairperson – Mike Gagne

Stanley Park

§         Responsible for Team registration

§         Arrive at park between 8-8:15am

§         Mike brought flyers, donation forms and pins

§         Mike will send out additional email

§         Donation checks send to Mike

    1. Big E Float – September 22nd, 2007

Chairpeople – Doug and Kathy Walsh

§         Need to get sign-up forms filled out. 

§         Maryann will stop by to try and get some

§         Last year filled up quickly and some couldn’t get on so suggest to sign up as early as possible.

    1. Meet Me in Sept RMH Event – Sept 29th

Co-chairpeople – Nancy & Frank with RMH Staff

Our Lady of the Elms College – Veritas Auditorium

§         Nancy will update people on the event and collect ticket/ad money

§         YOU NEED TO PURCHASE tickets if you are going to volunteer

§         Show starts at 7:30pm – Nancy wants volunteers to be there at 7pm

§         Auditorium seats 1000

§         Marty Gallagher is running event from talent side

§         Eva Stockhammer is running event from the RMH side

§         Victory is the back-up band

§         Sale of ads and tickets for us are being handled through Nancy

§         Maryann delivered check and ad for WMPH Club

§         Karen delivered check and ad for the Feldeisen’s along with purchase of two tickets

§         They are borrowing scenery from local event, will need help moving it on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday – Keith will check with local mover that donated for other stuff and get back in touch with Nancy

§         Need people to help with Will-Call tickets, refreshments and possible other tasks – security is being handled by prison folks

§         RMH had soda donated, looking for cups

§         Any food needs to be individually wrapped.  Already have some donations.  Karen and Richard will bring cooler full of ice to chill down the sodas, along with some snacks that are diabetic friendly.

§         Other folks have also offered to donate boxes of candy bars

§         If people want to donate money and Nancy will pick up the stuff that’s okay too.

§         Maryann will get napkins donated from local store

§         Nancy will go to local Target and look for donations

§         Nancy will ask about glow sticks

§         Nancy will send out more information as the time gets closer

    1. Autism Walk – September 30th, 2007

Sheffield, MA

Chairperson – Maryann & Keith

§         Maryann is making a cake for the after party

§         Our club is asked again to be at the half way point and distribute water and snacks to the walkers

§         4 members of our club helped last year and we announced before, during and after the walk

§         Please sign up so Maryann will have a headcount

    1. RMH Harvest Party – October ???

Chairpeople – Nancy & Frank

§         Nancy will try to get pumpkins donated again

§         Nancy will check her stock on pumpkins to be filled

§         Karen and Richard have a lot of stuff to add to them

§         Nancy will check to see if Sat the 27th of October is a good day to do it

§         It will be in the afternoon again and there will only be the party no serving of pizza

    1. November Club Meeting

Chairperson – Allison Pratte

§         Maryann will get Allison the name of the women who’s now in charge of this and will try to ensure that we do the Tuesday after Thanksgiving again

§         Allison is looking to do it from 6-close with one hour shifts for volunteers

    1. RMH Gift Wrapping Party – December 14th –

§         Nancy will put out more information as the time gets closer

No new ideas came up at the meeting

 

  1. Voting on New Board Members

§         Nominees are Scott and Barbara Simpson for Vice President – Elected by the members in attendance

§         Need nominees for treasurer – No nominations – Maryann will do a dual role until someone can do it – maybe Claire next year…8-)

    1. Nancy brought up Changes in Latitudes playing at Summit – there’s food then the band plays from 6-10pm
    2. Maryann brought up about our 10th anniversary party next February and would like to do something at Hukelau – maybe Jim Morris play or something nice.
    3. Maryann said we could check out possible convention hotels after the Autism walk – will send out information later.
    4. Maryann says that Brooks/Rite Pharmacy is having 75% sale on all parrothead type items.
