    1. Brightside Angels – Monday, November 26, 2007

Chairperson – Allison Pratte – Not in attendance but gave write-up to Karen.  9 Members in Attendance – Sold $227 worth of merchandise

    1. RMH Gift Wrapping Party – December 14th, 2007

Chairperson – Nancy & Frank – Not in attendance but Maryann had the information – club supported 19 children with stockings and gifts and each family got a bag full of food.  Maryann passed around a nice letter from the Ronald McDonald House thanking our club for their generosity and for their friendship to the house.  If you would like to review this letter, I have it with the club records.

a)      Each Quarterly Meeting get points for bringing donations to local food pantry and for collecting can tabs for RMH.

Attached spreadsheet shows what we have so far – thanks to everyone who donated.  There is still time to give us items, if you need me to pick them up, please let me know no later than the weekend before which is the 23rd-25th so that I can make arrangements to get it.

§         Local fundraising basket for baseball team.

Maryann collected donations for basket to be donated to a fundraiser for the Westfield Wizards.  Wine tasting is Feb 2nd at Westwood Inn in Westfield.  Cost $30pp

§         Springfield Falcons game against Hartford Sat 3/22/08 – will announce as Parrothead night.

Tickets will cost $10 each as long as we can guarantee 10 tickets sold.  We met the goal of 10 tickets. There are still tickets available get the money to Maryann as soon as you can.  They will set-up a table for us to recruit members out by concessions. We will have a box of the plastic leis to give away and a drawing of one year free membership pulled from those that sign up.  We will open it up to Chip to try and help them also recruit new members. Maryann heard from Chip and he referred it to their membership director. She will touch base again with them to see if they want to join us.

§         WMPHC Anniversary Party? – On the shelf and we may not have one.

§         Aquafina Pitch-Hit and Run Sunday 4/13/08 with a raindate of 4/20/08 at Papermill Playground which has 2 baseball fields that we can use. This has already been cleared with the Parks and Recreation Department.  It is open to boys & girls ages 7-14.  We’d like to run a concession stand where the money raised we will take our 15% for administrative fees and the rest will be donated to the sports scholarship fund.

§         05/03/08 Special Olympics@ Holyoke HS: Claire Bailey – Unable to attend the meeting will look for report separately.

They are trying to get good music.  May need tents/tables, etc.

Planning is going well – need to correct the website it has information listed wrong.

  1. 501c4 Status – Maryann
    1. Paperwork submitted – Classification is 501c4 since that lines up more with community style versus a social club like the Lions which falls under 501c7.  We are still waiting to hear back from them.  All additional paperwork including incorporation and By-Laws have been submitted.

    1. Site info – please review and go out once in a while. Statistics are available if anyone wants to see them, just ask Karen or Richard.

 

  1. 2010 WMPHC Convention Update – Maryann – See separate convention notes.

 

  1. Round Table
    1. We now have official By-Laws that will be posted on the website.
    2. Scott & Barbara – Going to Winter Meltdown at Old Dominion Battlefield Grounds in VA.
    3. Maryann – Tag Sale in May in Northampton – buy a table for $25, if club buys one and people donate stuff, then all the money raised can be used as seed money for the convention.  Maryann will send out more information.
